In addition to the 1" anti-torpedo boat guns described in this web site, Nordenfelt also designed a number of heavier versions that fired more powerful ammunition. He produced a medium version of the 4-barrel 1 inch machine gun and heavy one- and two-barrel guns, and these are indicated in the table by the suffixes (m) and (h). [N3], 1884

The guns are divided into three categories - L Light, H Heavy and M Mountain guns. Mountain guns could be broken down into loads that can be carried by a mule (maximum 90 kg), one mule carrying the gun and cross head, a second the trail and wheels, while others carry the ammunition.
